Not everyone has the luxury of staying in the warm indoors on a frigid night.
Some were out on Thursday night, braving the cold to earn a paycheck.
Pizza delivery guys must go outdoors to deliver pizzas to customers.
"You just have to keep your car nice and warm and try to be outside only a couple minutes at a time," said Nick Hoatz of Lehigh Pizza.
Other workers we spoke with, are forced to be brave the elements for much longer stretches.
Bethlehem Parking Authority's valet employees tsaid they have staying warm down to a science.
"Layers and layers and handwarmers and footwarmers," said Jennifer Hertzog.
Workers also try to take frequent breaks inside.
"We spend as much time as we can indoors and in customers' cars," said Hertzog.
Tow truck drivers also spend nights in the bitter cold. In fact oftentimes, these frigid temperatures make for the best business.
"I parked here on the side of the road and I got stuck in the ice," said Jay Frankett. "I had to call a tow truck."
All the workers we spoke with say while they love their job all year round, they are counting down the days until the warmer weather.
