Becahi and Parkland advance at PIAA Championships

The Becahi and Parkland wrestling teams were among the first round winners at the state tournament Thursday evening in Hershey.

Becahi beat Scranton 63-6, wasting no time turning their match into a blowout.

Parkland had a tougher time with Mifflin County, but still won in convincing fashion 41-24. Both teams now move on to the quarterfinals Friday afternoon.

Council Rock South and Boyertown also earned wins in the opening round at the AAA level.
