Royals tame Beast to snap brief skid

The Royals wrapped up a 3-in-3 weekend series Sunday evening at home against Brampton. Reading had lost the first two games of its weekend series, one to Wheeling and the other to the Beast Saturday night.

Behind a pair of goals from Sean Wiles, the Royals got back on track with a convincing 6-2 victory over Brampton, an ECHL newcomer this season.

Reading outscored the Beast 3-0 in both the first and third periods to secure the victory.

The Royals will visit Elmira for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday.
