The Exeter Township School District Board of School Directors met Tuesday Evening for a voting meeting.

Joseph Way, the district's Technology Supervisor presented a technology report to the board.

Way reported a growing number of Apple products across the district include students learning via apps on iPads in the schools.

About 900 downloads of the ParentLink app have been accounted for. The app sends blasts to a user's device with district announcements such as early dismissals and cancellations.

The senior high school report was presented to the board led by Principal William Cain. Updates were given on the curriculum review - math in particular.

An update of the Preliminary general fund budget for fiscal year 2015-2016 was given by Anne Guydish.

The budget will be adopted on February 17th, and will likely include a $4 million increase in general fund expenditure due to factors such as staffing, healthcare, retirement contribution and debt service.

Other items on the agenda included a failed tabling motion of the purchase of two new buses.

The board then voted to purchase two new buses at a cost of almost $185,000.

Various retirements, resignations and position appointments were approved. A dozen staff conferences for development were also approved.

Trips for student functions were approved including music trips and a college fair.

The board committees also presented their reports.

All board members were in attendance.
