A very cold day is on tap across the region with wind chills in the single digits to near zero.
Some wind chills are below zero this morning, so make sure you are completely covered up if you plan on spending any time outdoors today.
High temperatures will hold in the middle and upper teens despite a good amount of sunshine.
A clipper system will bring a bit of snow to some areas late tonight into Friday morning.
The best chance of a coating to an inch of snow will be near Interstate 80, but a coating of snow can occur anywhere.
Clouds will break for some sun on Friday with afternoon highs in the upper 20s along with windy conditions.
