Authorities say the body of a worker trapped in last week's collapse of a 125-foot silo at a Bucks County shipping port has been found.
Bristol Township Acting Police Chief Ralph Johnson said Sunday that firefighters located the body of Anthony Gabriele and ``He is deceased.''
Johnson said Gabriele's body was being disentangled from the wreckage and would be transferred to the county coroner.
Authorities in Bucks County said the silo containing concrete mix at Riverside Industrial Complex collapsed late Wednesday, trapping the victim under tons of steel and stony granules.
Officials searched the debris for hours and then termed the operation a recovery rather than a rescue mission, citing the lack of air pockets and the 10-degree temperatures.
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the collapse.
