Caught on camera: Man steals packages from front porch, police say

It's the time of year when holiday deliveries are being made, filling porches and doorsteps with packages.


That's why police in Berks County are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who, they said, stole two priority mail packages from the front porch of a home in the 3400 block of Penn Avenue in Sinking Spring.


The homeowner's surveillance camera was rolling on the front door when the theft happened around 10 a.m. on Dec. 4.


Images show the man looking through the door's window before picking up the packages and walking away.


Anyone who can identify the man is asked to call Sinking Spring police at 610-678-1906 or Crime Alert Berks County at 877-373-9913.
