Wyomissing fence appeal moving forward

The battle over a proposed fence around the Wyomissing High School football field isn't over just yet.



The borough zoning board voted last month to deny a permit for the fence.


Tonight, the school board voted seven to one in favor of moving forward with an appeal of that decision.


District officials say they'll now take their case to court.


Supporters of the fence say it would help prevent vandalism and make sure that game admission fees were paid.


Opponents say the fence would be expensive, prevent access to the field and take away from the neighborhood's charm.
