People living in parts of Northampton County are being asked to conserve water.
Pennsylvania American Water has issued a voluntary conservation notice for some customers due to below-normal rainfall over the past several months.
The notice applies to Pennsylvania American Water customers in Bushkill Township, Easton, Forks, Lower Nazareth, Nazareth, Palmer, Pen Argyl Borough, Plainfield, Stockertown, Tatamy, Upper Nazareth, Washington Township and Wind Gap.
Customers are asked to reduce water usage by eliminatin non-essential uses, like watering lawns and shrubs, washing cars or operating waterfalls and fountains.
The voluntary water conservation request will remain in effect until further notice.
