For two years the Lehigh and Lafayette football programs have been waiting for this week. Anticipation has built since the announcement that the 150th game would be played at Yankee Stadium. Lafayette won the game last year, and hopes to win again this week. Dave Lesko has more on the Leopards.

Last week's bye couldnt have come at a better time for the Leopards as they've had time to heal and gear up for Saturday's 150th matchup with Lehigh in the Bronx. James Coccia "The bye week we used to our advantage to get guys healthy. You know we've been bugged by injuries all year and we definitely used this to our advantage to get guys healthy and we feel as good as we have all year and we're ready to go." Frank Tavani "The important element in this big game every year, regardless where it's played, is you have to keep your preparation on track and not change a lot, otherwise you're just thrown off focus." Dave Lesko Senior Captain Luke Chiarolanzio wont be playing in this one as he's out with a shoulder injury. And while he's disappointed he won't be on the field on the grand stage, he's trying to contribute as a buffer between his linemates and the coaches. Luke Chiarolanzio "i come to every meeting. I'm at every practice.I'm running around encouraging kids, getting on kids, making sure they know what they're doing. i know the gameplan. i watch the film. i try to be an extra coach, another set of eyes for Coach Clayton and also for the guys on the line." Dave Lesko Like the Pards, Lehigh is also coming off a win over Colgate and their offense has been putting up some lofty numbers despite their 3-7 record. Frank Tavani "Very impressed with Shafnisky, the improvement he's made. He looks excellent throwing the ball. They have as good a receiver as I've seen all year in the freshman. So they've got a lot of talent, and they like us at times have shown that they can be really, really good, and they like us times have shown that we can have some self-inflicted wounds. So i see this as a very evenly matched game, and we know we have our work cut out, and you have to play well, and you have to be able to overcome momentum swings, because they're going to occur with the excitement and then along with 50,000 people yelling and screaminug."
