The Becahi and Pius X football teams cruised to District 11 championships on Saturday night within their respective classes. Both teams were top-seeds in their brackets.
In Bethlehem, the Golden Hawks routed Saucon Valley, 49-7, to win their second straight District 11-AAA title.
Michael McDaniel scored three touchdowns for the Golden Hawks. Elijah Fineran added a pair in the winning effort.
In Nazareth, Pius X got big plays on both sides of the ball in a 45-14 win over Marian Catholic in the District 11-A finals.
Tre Jordan ripped off an 86-yard touchdown run to pace the Pius offense. Nate Stewart added an 80-yard interception return for a touchdown as the Royals never looked back in a big win.
Both teams turn their attention to the PIAA tournament beginning next week.
