Shoppers are flocking to their local grocery stores and hardware stores to stock up on supplies.
"I guess you know what is coming tomorrow right, the white stuff," said Carmine Scaglione of Douglass Township.
Carmine Scaglione is one of the many shoppers stocking up for the snow heading to Berks County.
"I bought three bags, I only use one. But I have two great neighbors that do all my shoveling. So, I figured I would get a bag each for them too so they will be ready," said Scaglione.
Scaglione shopped at Weaver's Ace Hardware in Amity Township along with hundreds of other people.
Employees tell us the rock salt was flying off the shelves, especially after last year's shortage. And the shovels were going fast too.
"I am getting a couple shovels because I realized today my old snow shovels were all banged up and not very useable," said Joe Strong of Warwick Township.
It is all to prepare for a snow storm the day before Thanksgiving that could bring a few inches of snow.
"I do not know how tomorrow is going to be, so I figured I might as well stock up when I can. Don't have to run out or anything. My wife is pregnant so I would rather not have her fall down stairs or something like that," said Michael Schiel of Douglassville.
In addition to people stocking up on shovels and rock salt, they are also running to the grocery store to stock up on their Thanksgiving meal before the storm hits.
"We are really hoping that we do not get anything. But if we do, we are going to be prepared. We have eggs, milk. Not like the stores are going to be closed or anything, but just to be sure," said Lisa Elias, a shopper.
"Just getting some milk and bread and soups. And get a couple meat items. See what happens with the big snow storm coming," said J.R. Reinhart, a shopper.
But regardless of what they were buying, most shoppers all had one thing in common; they all hope the snow does not dampen their plans for Thanksgiving.
