Schuylkill County woman arrested in relation to June fatal accident

A Schuylkill County woman is now facing a homicide charge in connection with an accident that happened over the summer.



According to court records, 36-year-old Amy Boppel of Ashland is facing a slew of charges including homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence and aggravated assault by vehicle.



She is being charged in connection with a two-car crash back in June near the Butler Township-Gilberton border.



Authorities say 61-year-old Mary Lou Leiby of Ringtown was killed and others were injured.



Boppel is currently behind bars awaiting arraignment.
