Teachers in the Saucon Valley School District have no plans to walk off the job just yet,, even while their union remains at a stalemate with the School Board.
The Education Association said Monday the District's teachers would "remain in the classroom and continue negotiations at the table."
The Association said the decision "put the needs of the students first".
Jeff Sultanik, attorney representing the Saucon Valley School Board, told 69 News Monday night that no negotiations were currently scheduled.
"It appears we will have to rely on the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board to compel the Association to not engage in backtracking on more than 20 proposals that are on the bargaining table," Sultanik said.
Saucon Valley School District teachers have been working without a contract since 2012.
