Ryans leaves big hole for Eagles moving forward

Mark Sanchez is under the spotlight Monday night when the Eagles host the Panthers. The veteran quarterback is in there for an injured Nick Foles. But there's also a big void to fill on defense with Demeco Ryans out for the season.


Essentially two quarterbacks were lost in a costly win at Houston last week in Foles and Ryans.



It's up to Eagles' linebackers such as Mychal Kendricks, Casey Matthews and Emmanuel Acho to try and fill the gap left by Ryans.


While they may do that physically, the Birds say it's difficult to replace the intangibles that Ryans brought to the table.
