Reading police seek Wilber A. Calliste in assault of girlfriend

Reading police put out a plea Monday for help in locating a man being sought in the assault of his girlfriend.


Wilber A Calliste is wanted on a felony charge of aggravated assault, police said.


Calliste intentionally struck his 28-year-old girlfriend on the head with a bottle on Nov. 2, causing serious injuries, police said.


Calliste, 29, was last known to live at 1515 Hill Rd. in Reading. Anyone who knows of his current whereabouts is asked to call Reading police at 610-655-6116 or Crime Alert Berks County at 877-373-9913.


Crime Alert is offering a cash reward for information that leads to Calliste's arrest.
