Police: Man hides drugs inside candy, gives to girlfriend in hospital

A Northampton County man is facing charges after police say he tried to smuggle capsules s to his girlfriend by stuffing them in candy.


According to court documents, 25-year-old Kyle Eugene Graff, of the 3700 block of Mangrove Drive, Northampton, walked into his girlfriend's room at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenburg on Wednesday and delivered 10 capsules of suspected amphetamine/dextramphetamine to her.


A nurse at the hospital, located at 2545 Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem, saw the exchange and took away the pills, which Graff had hidden inside Tootsie Roll candy, police said.


The capsules were turned over to state police for further analysis.


On Thursday, Graff was interviewed by police and he admitted he put the capsules inside the Tootsie Rolls, and gave them to his girlfriend, Rachel Puccie, documents say.


Graff was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
