The Lehigh men's basketball team dropped to 0-4 with a loss to Columbia at Stabler Arena. The Lafayette women improved to 2-1 following a convincing victory over Hartford at the Kirby Sports Center.
Columbia led by as many as 16 points in the first half. Lehigh cut the deficit to as little as 5, but the offense struggled to make a significant run all afternoon.
Tim Kempton led the way for the Mountain Hawks with his third double-double of the season (15 points, 10 rebounds).
Lehigh will be on the road Wednesday when the team visits DePaul in Chicago.

Behind 25 points from Emily Homan, the Lafayette women's basketball team posted a 74-59 victory over Hartford on Sunday.
Homan got help in the form of 18 points each from Jamie O'Hare and Linnel Macklin.
The Leopards will visit Rider on Tuesday night.
