Giant announces nacho recall

A local grocery store chain is pulling a product from its shelves.


Giant Food Stores says it has removed from sale Salpica Ballpark Nacho & Black Bean Nacho products due to an undeclared allergen on the ingredient label.


Officials say the products may contain wheat.


If you do not have a wheat allergy, you can safely consume the product.


Others should bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund.


The recall includes:


Salpica Ballpark Nacho Sauce, 8 oz., UPC 60418332090 with best by dates of 9/12/14, 9/19/14, 10/8/14, 10/29/14 and 12/21/14

Salpica Ballpark Blackbean Nacho Sauce, 8 oz., UPC 60418332092 with best by dates of 9/12/14, 9/19/14, 10/8/14, 10/29/14 and 12/21/14
