A construction worker was struck by a vehicle on the turnpike in Franklin Township, Carbon County around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
The unidentified male was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest with leg and head injuries, but he was described as conscious and alert by turnpike officials.
Officials also say the accident at mile-marker 76.6 is having no impact on traffic.
