Bank robber heading to jail after guilty plea

A man who police say robbed a bank in Lehigh County and was then caught by an off duty security guard at a hotel is heading to jail.



Joshua Santos was sentenced Monday to 4 and a half to 10 years in prison after entering a guilty plea.


After his prison term, he will be on probation for five years, according to his attorney.


Officials say he robbed the Lafayette Ambassador Bank on State Avenue in Emmaus on December 16, 2013.


He was arrested in January after police say an off duty security guard subdued him at the Holiday Inn in Allentown about a month later.
