A local fundraiser hopes to cure a 10-year old with a rare disease

A fundraiser at the Easton's State Theatre will raise money for a 10-year old with a rare disease.

Markie Devoe is battling Choroideremia, a X-linked retina disease that slowly robs him of his eyesight.

The 4th-grader is one of 6,000 known cases.

Markie and his family visited the Sunrise set to share his story, give us an update and tell us how you can help out the charity Angels for Mark.

On Sunday December 14th at 4 p.m. the family will be hosting its annual fundraiser at the State Theatre, located at 453 Northampton Street in Easton.

Three original members of Tran Siberian Orchestra are set to perform.

The Choroideremia Foundation only has a budget of about $500,000, so every penny counts.
