Pastors have partnered up to help the less fortunate in Reading.
The pastors assembled care packages for the homeless at Saint James Church on South Ninth Street on Wednesday. Then, they distributed sandwiches, water and clothing to those in need.
"The lord has touched our hearts to go ahead and give back to the city and people in need," said Randy Simmons, organizer.
Organizers said this is only the beginning. They plan to do more for the less fortunate in the future.
