Police in Warren County, N.J. have arrested a man on charges of child sex assault.
Twenty-six-year-old Wilber Hernandez of the unit block of Hillcrest Avenue in Washington Borough, was arrested Friday.
He faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child under the age of 13.
Police said Hernandez committed an act of sexual penetration on a four-year-old girl on January 18.
The victim was known by Hernandez, officials said.
Aggravated sexual assault is punishable by up to life imprisonment; sexual assault is punishable up to 10 years in NJ state prison and endangering could bring up to five years in state prison.
Bail was set at $150,000, which includes the stipulation that Hernandez not have contact with the victim or the victim's family.
His first court appearance is set for 1:30 p.m. Monday.
