Here's a look back at the stories that made headlines last week in the 69 News Week in Review.


Monday: A teenager pleaded guilty to a vicious assault on a Lehigh University student.


Bryan Sanchez-Osorio faces the possibility of decades in prison after pleading guilty to attempted homicide and attempted rape charges.


The 17-year-old broke into the female student's apartment last July.


Officials said Osorio choked her and placed a pillow over her face, causing her to lose consciousness.


Osorio will be sentenced in March.


Tuesday: In Reading, Miguel Torres was found guilty of killing his wife in cold blood nearly a decade ago.


Torres had been on the run ever since killing his wife Barbara in Reading back in 2005.


Officials said Torres started a family in the Dominican Republic before eventually being caught in Italy in 2013.


Torres' attorney said he plans to file an appeal.


Wednesday: A judge ordered a trial for a Montgomery County woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars from Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.


Police said Heather Belford used ATM cards to pocket more than $10,000 dollars from two groups in Upper Providence Township.


Her formal arraignment is scheduled for April 1.


Thursday: A member of a prominent Bucks County family accused in a $20 million insurance fraud committed suicide.


Officials said Thomas French shot himself in his vehicle in the driveway of his home.


Last month, authorities charged French and members of his family with corruption and theft for allegedly setting fire to their Buckingham Township mansion to collect millions in insurance claims.


Friday: Economic development officials in the Lehigh Valley expressed optimism that A-Treat soda could return to store shelves.


Don Cunningham, president of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Commission, said several potential buyers have inquired about A-Treat.


The company closed it doors last month after manufacturing soft drinks in Allentown for nearly a century.
