Washington Borough men accused of distributing heroin near elementary school

Two Washington Borough men have been arrested for allegedly selling heroin near a local elementary school.

Jamal Parker, 24, of the unit block of Jackson Avenue, and Kasiem Stapleton, 32, of the 200 block of East Washington Ave., were both scheduled to have their first appearances in court on Monday.

According to court documents, Parker distributed heroin within 100 feet of the Taylor Street School back on Nov. 6. Less than a week later, police said Parker distributed heroin with 1,000 feet of the Taylor Street School.

Police said Stapleton distributed heroin within 1,000 feet of the Taylor Street School on Nov. 12.
