A company known for making flu vaccines is taking a shot at making sure others have a magical Christmas.
It's the 20th year Sanofi Pasteur employees have gone above and beyond in their holiday duty.
There's still a lot of work to do and these people are ready to help.
"Great how do we help, where do we sign up, what do we do," said Pam Makoski, organizer from Sanofi Pasteur.
This is the 20th year of The "Adopt-a-Family" drive at Sanofi Pasteur.
It's not a sleigh, but this truck full of gifts will grant a lot of wishes at the Pocono Services for Families and Children.
"These are the stories that warm your heart, said Karen Fusco, a worker at Pocono Services for Families and Children. "They don't know our family and they come through every year and they go above and beyond."
This year the group is helping 29 families.
"I'm giving back to that same community that I live in, I work in, I grew up in," added Makoski. "It just gives me a sense of pride. A pride to be a Pocono resident as well as work for a good company as Sanofi Pasteur."
"This is an awesome surprise; this is a very emotional surprise," said Melissa Johnson, a mother picking up gifts.
Usually the Sanofi employees never meet the families they help, but this year is special, and Melissa Johnson let's them know what the act of kindness means to her.
“My kids are going to have a Christmas," said Johnson. "I can thank these people because they all pitched in. Everybody did a little bit of something and that’s just really amazing.”
Some say it's amazing how a toy, a microwave, or even cleaning supplies can make a person's holiday wishes come true.
Even those that are kids at heart know this is the true meaning of Christmas.
"What I believe in is the giving spirit of people and this just proves my belief every year," said Fusco. "So for me it is, it's magic."
