Catching a Reading Fightin Phils baseball game at FirstEnergy Stadium will be a bit more affordable for some fans in 2015.
The team announced Thursday that it is lowering the price of its general admission tickets by $1 each if the ticket is bought ahead of game day.
"Providing affordable family entertainment is what is most important to our organization," said Scott Hunsicker, the team's general manager. "In a day and age when everything seems to be getting more and more expensive, we wanted to buck the trend and lower prices to provide even more value to our loyal fans."
The cost for a child/senior ticket will be $5 in advance; an adult will pay $7. Tickets bought on the day of the game will cost $2 more.
Box seat ticket prices will remain the same for the seventh consecutive year.
Also, for the first time, the main grandstand will be entirely composed of reserved seats with the addition of a green box section. All general admission seating will be located in the first and third base grandstands.
The Fightins will begin their home schedule on April 17 against the Richmond Flying Squirrels.
General admission ticket books, season tickets, mini-plans and group tickets for the 2015 season are now on sale.
