Dozens of residents were evacuated because of a gas leak in Northampton County that started a chain of events Thursday night.
A PPL truck ended up getting stuck in a sinkhole in Bethlehem Township.
Crews said the truck got stuck sometime around midnight.
Officials said the whole incident started around 7 p.m. with a water main break at Birchwood Farm in the area of Freemansburg Avenue and Hampton Road.
The break led to the sinkhole being discovered in the area as well as a gas leak.
PPL and UGI crews were both called to the scene and residents evacuated.
The Red Cross set up a shelter for more than 30 people at the Bethlehem Community Center.
There are no reports of any injuries.
