Police officer wounded by Frein goes to NYC hospital

Pennsylvania State Trooper Alex Douglass, who was shot by Eric Frein, has been moved to an unidentified New York City hospital for specialized treatment.


Douglass was wounded by Frein on Sept. 12 as he tried assist Corporal Bryon Dickson, whom Frein shot and killed in front of the Blooming Grove state police barracks in Pike County.


Captured after a massive police manhunt that lasted 48 days, Frein now is in Pike County Correctional Facility near Lords Valley.
