Hundreds of volunteers served hot meals and hope in Reading on Tuesday.
The Queen City Restaurant hosted the sixth annual "People First" event to help the less fortunate Tuesday.
Hundreds of folks were treated to free meals. They were also offered flu shots, health screenings, hats, coats and clothing.
Organizers said they help more and more people every year.
"We had, the line was so long we had to take the overflow to the tent, which never happened, ever, so this is our first year that this has happened, so it's been wonderful," said Sabrena Elmarzouky. "Lots of people come out to volunteer, so it's been great."
Santa also stopped by to spread some holiday cheer.
