A medical transport van struck a pole about 2:30 p.m. Monday along Route 248 in Lehigh Township, Northampton County.
Lehigh Township Police responded to the crash at Route 248 (Lehigh Drive) and Aspen Drive, which apparently resulted in no injuries.
A witness told police the transport van drove into the on-coming lane, then back
across the roadway and into Berlinsville Park, where it struck a light pole
and a street sign
The transport van company was identified as Sunny Transportation, Inc.
It was driven by Cristian Piedrabuena, 25 years old,
of Hawley, Wayne County.
The van was occupied by physically disabled person, who
fell from a seat but was uninjured.
The name of the passenger is not being disclosed by police.
