Man admits to stealing rare artwork, released from prison

An Easton man charged with stealing $100,000 worth of artwork in New York has pleaded guilty, and is a free man.


Joselito Vega pleaded guilty in a deal that sentenced him to time served.


He was facing charges, including grand larceny and money laundering.


Vega was arrested in May 2013 after officials said he stole six rare paintings while working as a house painter at the Schulhof Estate.
