The barracks where Eric Frein is accused of carrying out his deadly ambush will resume full operations on Wednesday, state police said.
The Blooming Grove barracks was the scene of the Sept. 12 ambush that killed Corporal Bryon Dickson and critically wounded Trooper Alex Douglass.
The barracks has been closed to the public ever since the night of the ambush.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Frein, who eluded authorities for 48 days.
Meanwhile, residents are already seeing indications that life has returned to normal in the area.
"We were just at the beauty salon and they have no business beause of it so shes says now that they've caught the guy she has more business," said Ophelia Brofsky of Greeley.
Bryant Decker of Hawley said he's happy to see the barracks returning to full service. He calls the reopening, "..a sigh of relief that he's finally caught and that things will get back to normal for them as well, for the police."
