Berks Catholic honors Causa, Wensel with signing ceremony

Berks Catholic honored athletic standouts Patrick Causa and Brooke Wensel on Wednesday morning in a signing ceremony. Both will be continuing their careers at the Division I level.


Causa will play baseball at Mount Saint Mary's, the same school his father and uncle attended.


The senior hit well-over .400 for the District 3 champion Saints last year and has been a mainstay at the shortstop over the last four years.


He is also the quarterback for the undefeated B.C. football team this year.


Wensel is staying closer to home, opting to continue her softball career at Lafayette.


Also a shortstop, Wensel was key in help leading Berks Catholic winning season last year at 11-7.


She also plays basketball and soccer for the Saints.
