Viral video could help cancer patient raise money for family

ROB vaughn: Earlier tonight...we introduced you to a Lehigh County mother-of-four who's fighting for her life...after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.



WENDY davis: Now..WFMZ's Jamie Stover shows us how you can help her, and her children...with just two minutes of your time.

REPORTER: But there's more than meets the eye.



ELLIE coyne "It means everything to my daughter and her family,"



JULI fossburg "It's being used to help raise money for my mom and my family."



REPORTER: It was created by a man and his son in North Carolina as part of a work contest. The first employee to get half a million views by January 31st wins 50- thousand dollars. That father and son..has decided to donate that prize money to Patti Powell of Emmaus and her four children...after learning about Patti's fight with stage four lung cancer.



PATTI powell "It's overwhelming actually."



REPORTER: Since going on chemo therapy..Powell has been unable to work. She doesn't have insurance. And she's the sole provider for Jason, Juli, Jess, and two- year-old Jaycee. The cash..would mean peace.



Patti "i could focus more on healing myself than wasting energy on worrying about how am i going to pay the rent this month."



REPORTER: And her children...could think more about spending precious time.



NAT "Give ma kiss. Muah!"



REPORTER: and worry less about losing the woman they adoringly call "mom."



Jess "If i lost her, i would be nothing. I would crumble."
