The Mahoning Valley Cinema in the Poconos is one of only a handful of theaters in Pennsylvania screening the controversial movie, "The Interview".
A few dozen people came out for the both the 4:50PM and 7:40PM shows on Christmas Day.
The independently-owned theater chose to screen the film, about an assassination attempt on North Korean's dictator, while dozens of big chains nixed the movie after hackers threatened 9/11 type violence against those playing the movie.
"I came to see what all the noise is about with this movie, " said one moviegoer.
According to the FBI, the content of the movie caused the North Korean government to launch a cyber attack on Sony Pictures, the company producing the film.
Sony had cancelled the Christmas Day release of the movie, but earlier this week, chose to make the movie available to interested theaters.
"I am actually pretty glad I got to see it," said a moviegoer.
While there were mixed reviews about the film, some thought the movie was hilarious, others said it was childish, the moviegoers say are just thrilled they had the opportunity to see the movie.
"I am glad Sony released it and didn't suppress it," said a moviegoer.
The movie is also available online. Google and Youtube are streaming the film for $5.99.
